Welcome to the website for Sheep & Shawl online yarn shop on Etsy: sheepandshawl.etsy.com
To stay up to date, please subscribe to my e-newsletter (link in right column) and follow me on facebook and instagram. I continue to host local knitting groups year round and teach classes during the school year.
I teach knitting at Hill Institute in Florence, MA. The Tuesday night class has been cancelled due to low enrollment. The Wednesday morning class is full. Registration for the Spring term will be in January.
For the month of September visit my Etsy shop 20% off SALE for all Needles, Notions, and Accessories! Please browse if you need to add needles or notions to your knitting tool kit. Notions and Accessories are also great gifts for anyone you know who knits! Little stitch markers, point protectors, scissors, magnetic pattern boards, little sheepies (keychains, magnets, pins, ornaments, tape measures), plus small bags to keep them all in!
Thursday morning Crafts Circle 10 – 12 noon happens outdoors behind Tilton Library, South Deerfield, MA. (Bathroom at the Town Hall one block away.) This is a social group – mostly knitting but bring any portable craft. See more info on the Community & Classes page. We continue until cold weather, then look for updates.

To remind you of some of the yarns and other items when they were in the shop, please go to the Photo Gallery where you can click and browse. A few are not yet on Etsy, so please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested.
Yarn, patterns, books, needles & notions, buttons, and accessories are all available. Although most of the shop’s inventory is listed on Etsy, there is still more to be photographed and listed! Check there every week to see new listings, or please contact me to place a custom order.
The Sheep & Shawl brick and mortar shop is closed. Thank you all for a great 7.5 years! Please use the “Contact Us” link in the right-hand column or email email@example.com with any questions.
Sheep & Shawl donates to various organizations you might be interested in.
I stand with Ukraine. May peace be found soon and may those fleeing and those defending themselves in the face of war find protection and be reunited with their families and friends. You can donate to the organization of your choice – here is a list to consider if you’re not sure where to give: https://give.org/news/wise-giving-wednesday-tips-on-donations-to-assist-ukraine-relief-efforts . Thank you. 🇺🇦
End gun violence. Sadly the violence in the US is from within our country. A report from the Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions states that 2020 saw the highest number of gun-related deaths ever recorded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As one of its findings, the report concludes that states with the lowest gun death rates have stronger gun laws. Gun violence is now the No. 1 cause of death for U.S. children and adolescents (ages 1-19). Please consider volunteering your time or donating to https://www.everytown.org/about-everytown/ .
I encourage donations to Heifer International to buy a fiber animal for an underprivileged family in the world. Heifer’s “gifting” program creates community support and a legacy when the recipient family later gifts animals to neighbors to spread the fiber farming model. Donate quickly and safely online at Sheep & Shawl’s donation page .
